Rebekah was the wife of Isaac. When it was time for Isaac to marry, his father Abraham sent his servant back to his family in Haran to find a wife for him among their relatives. As soon as the servant arrived near Haran, he met Rebekah. Her family agreed that she could go, so she agreed to go with him to be Isaac's wife (Genesis 24).

At first, Rebekah could not have children. Then Isaac prayed for her, and she became pregnant with twins (Bible:Genesis 24). Their twin boys were Esau and Jacob (Genesis 25:19-28).

Rebekah's favorite of the twin boys was Jacob, so when their father Isaac was old and soon to die, Rebekah helped Jacob to deceive his father into giving him the family blessing. She then helped Jacob escape to her family in Haran, because his brother Esau was angry and wanted to kill him. (Genesis 27-28)
