To better clarify the purpose and function of Door43, here is a list of some of the things that Door43 is not. Door43 is not:

A personal website

Door43 is not intended for use as a personal blog or homepage. Our focus is creating ministry tools that are generally applicable and useful in thousands of different cultures and languages.

A journal

Door43 is not the place to keep track of personal insights, thoughts or events. These fit great on a personal website or blog but do not fit with the purpose of Door43.

A soapbox

Door43 is not a place for expressing opinions or controversial views. You are welcome to have your own position and opinion about matters of peripheral beliefs. You are not welcome to use Door43 as a place to try and convince others of why your position is better/more accurate/etc. than the next person's opinion. You may be right but this is not the place to try and prove it as it falls outside of the focus of Door43.

A platform for fringe interpretations of Scripture

Door43 is a place for solid Biblical content for the equipping of the global church, so it should not be used as a platform for new theories and fringe interpretations.

An advertising platform

Door43 is not a place to advertise for your organization, church, product, etc. You are, however, more than welcome to include a link to your website on your user page and let others know who you are, where you come from, projects, etc.

A comprehensive collection of Biblical information

Door43 is not intended to be a collection of every piece of information pertaining to the Bible and Christianity. It has a very specific focus and is a selection of some of the most essential discipleship materials, striving to be concise, clear and intended for translation and adaptation for use by believers in languages and cultures around the world.
