Help build Door43
From Door43
1. PrayAs with any ministry venture, the most important way to be a part of this ministry is to pray that God would accomplish His will through it and use it to advance His kingdom. The verse where Door43 gets its name reminds us: "Pray for an open door for the Word... that it may be clear" -Colossians 4:3 Stay up to date on prayer requests at http://www.dsmedia.org/pray, and you can also receive weekly prayer updates by email (click here and enter your email address - you can unsubscribe anytime). | |

1. Everything on Door43 is "open-source"
Everything on Door43, including what you add, is released under an open license so that anyone else can translate it, redistribute it and re-use it without any restriction.
2. Don't worry: you can't break anything on this website!
It's true. Door43 is a wiki and you can't mess anything up on it that is not easily fixed. So don't be afraid to try! Even if you accidentally erase a whole page, panic and click "Save", we can restore the previous version in one click, like you had never been there! So feel free to jump in and starting helping out.
3. At Door43, we agree on what is important and agree to disagree on everything else
Here's the bottom line: Door43 is about creating unrestricted Biblical resources for building up Christians in every language. We're focused on equipping the global church to grow in discipleship, not perpetuating arguments and disagreements. So that we're all on the same page, here's our statement of faith: We believe that Christian belief can and should be divided into essential beliefs and peripheral beliefs.
Essential beliefs
Essential beliefs are what define a follower of Jesus Christ and can never be compromised or ignored.
- We believe the 66 canonical books of the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, sufficient, authoritative Word of God.
- We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit.
- We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ.
- We believe in the humanity of Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father.
- We believe that every person is inherently sinful and so is deserving of eternal hell.
- We believe that salvation from sin is a gift of God, provided through the sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, attained by grace through faith, not by works.
- We believe that true faith is always accompanied by repentance and regeneration by the Holy Spirit.
- We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the follower of Jesus Christ is enabled to live a godly life.
- We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, from all nations and languages and people groups.
- We believe in the personal and physical return of Jesus Christ.
- We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the unsaved will be resurrected to eternal damnation in hell and the saved will be resurrected to eternal blessing in the new heaven and the new earth.
Peripheral beliefs
Peripheral beliefs are everything else that is in Scripture but about which sincere followers of Christ may disagree (e.g. Baptism, Lord's Supper, the Rapture, etc.). We choose to agree to disagree agreeably on these topics and press on together toward a common goal of reaching the world with the Good News of Jesus Christ. We would love to have your help!
